ROOMS
The Open Gate has 14 guest rooms. All rooms are decorated simply but comfortably in the monastic cell style. 12 with 2 full-sized beds in each room, 1 single and one master suite with a queen bed.  Eight are located in our cloister wing of the common center with semi-private baths between the rooms.  The master and single guestrooms are located in the attached apartment wing of the center behind the kitchen.  The other 4 bedrooms are located behind All Saints Oratory and conference center.    Our rooms are oversized so extra beds can be accommodated based on the number and type of retreat group attending

                                                                      MEALS
We offer healthy and delicious home-cooked meals. We are always present to the reality that many will not eat as well as we do.  Food is a part of a spiritually healthy life.  Go and feed someone who hasn't eaten today.

Breakfast:  Granola cereal and yogurt, fresh-baked morning breads and muffins, and juice.  Sunday morning is homemade pancakes as well as the normal fare.

Lunch:  A variety of salads, soups and sandwiches based on the season and group request
 
Dinner:  Chicken or fish, roasted ragout of vegetables, potatoes, salad and dessert.   

The Open Gate also will accommodate individuals with special dietary needs or requirements, such as those with wheat or nut allergies and those who are on a strict vegetarian diet

Iced tea, lemonade and water are served with all meals, as well as coffee and hot tea throughout the day

NOTE: If arrival is expected for your group after 6 p.m. on Friday, we will offer a light dinner of salads, soup and bread

AVAILABILITY:  Please contact us via email or phone  and include the nature of the function, number of people, date, time and any special requests. Please contact us at least 2 months in advance to ensure availability.  At the present time, the center can only accommodate groups of at least 6-8 person minimum for a retreat.   

Individual members of our own community, and brothers and sisters from other religious communities will be accommodated on a smaller basis if space is available.

COST: As part of the The Open Gate mission statement and philosophy, there is no cost to stay with us.  In the great Christian tradition of pilgrimage and journey, we tell you what it costs to take care of you as an individual or group.  It is then up to you to give from the heart.  Some will hopefully give more so that we can provide a place of rest and retreat for those who cannot cover the full cost.  In  other words, we play your financial kindness forward trusting in the Holy Spirit and your generosity to help cover our expenses. 

Our present costs to take care of you are as follows

Overnite with all meals:                                  $55.00      (Per Person double occupancy)

Daily: Light Breakfast and Lunch                  $25.00

The costs include full use of all of our facilities.  Please note that our costs do not normally include the cost of a retreat director or for any retreats sponsored by the center. 

The Open Gate accepts checks and cash as a tithe payment in order to reduce our costs and keep them low
